ARCHI-TEXTURES is taking a little time off to regroup and consolidate for a strong push in the fall. Their hiatus runs from July to the end of August. But don’t worry, Futura, one of the four corners of Archi-textures, will be filling in its stead, keeping the night diversely programmed and heavily attended so you won’t be without a place to dance.
July 7th marks the first night of Futura’s weekly summer line-up. To celebrate the occasion, we’ve asked Marcus Visionary to come back and play. The last time he came to play, he played an uncharacteristically Marcus set, dropping heavy tropical acid house, techno, and UK Funky pushing everyone to the dance floor. Alternate to the vetran Marcus, we’ve got up and coming VLSONN. His production of tech-house and dubstep with a heavy leaning on the lower frequencies has really set him apart among the producers of the city. Archi-textures resident support comes in the form of Hydra and Subhuman.
Hosting the night is a genuine master among masters of ceremonies. MC ENLIGHT, who’s voice you’ve all come to recognize if you’ve been to any night where he’s blessed the mic.
Opening up the night we have POSTMARK, playing nothing but funk, soul, dub, and rare groove on vinyl. Show up early, shake a tail, spin your hoops, or just get your pre-drink and eats on at the venue.
